He initially established himself with a string of releases on MB Elektronics, Primate and Intec Records – developing his sound on labels like Kombination Research, 1605, Respekt Recordings, Omega Audio Recordings and then his own Remain Records. Axel has played extensively throughout Europe and headlined events in some of the biggest club nights in the world, including Rex Club [Paris], Womb [Tokyo] and Turnmills [London].
